Quebec Leaks

Leaks all over the world, it’s about time they hit home. Somebody has created Quebec Leaks, a site dedicated to exposing government documents in Quebec. The server is supposedly located outside of Canada and the leaks will be released March 1st, 2011. Whether or not this is a legitimate site or not has yet to be determined, but I am certainly curious. We’ll check back in March to see what the scoop is.

Le argh. I really don’t know what else to say. An Icelandic Parliament member is fighting them now…but come on. Redditors said it best, “they’re going to ruin the Internet for all of us.”

UN Supports Wikileaks

Read it and rejoice.

“The UN statement also seems to address speculation that the US government has put pressure on the likes of Amazon, PayPal, and MasterCard to prevent WikiLeaks from using its services. “Direct or indirect government interference in or pressure exerted upon any expression or information transmitted through any means of oral, written, artistic, visual or electronic communication must be prohibited by law when it is aimed at influencing content.”"
